Lorne Park Estates is a community in Mississauga on the shores of Lake Ontario .

The Lorne Park Estates Association and its members share an interest in the success of the community, and are committed to being custodians of our natural woodland surroundings.

Founded in 1948, the LPEA is a corporation without share capital. Members are owners of the common lands and responsible for roads, forests, recreational facilities and other services for the benefit of the community. Our Carolinian forest is home to over 300 species of plants and wildflowers and 220 species of birds. Residents work together to preserve this woodland habitat.

Lorne Park Estates has a rich history predating the founding of the association.

Once known as “The Pleasure Grounds” with a steamship wharf that received day trippers from Toronto, a hotel, and other recreational facilities, Lorne Park Estates has a vibrant past. In 1980, to mark the 100th anniversary of The Park, residents published a book called “A Village Within a City: The story of Lorne Park Estates”.
